Better Lyrics - A Simple Lyrics Viewer

I made this because I got tired of squinting at lyrics on websites with ads and cluttered layouts. Better Lyrics is just a clean, simple app that displays song lyrics the way they should be - readable and distraction-free.

What it does

Why I built this

As someone who loves music and learning songs, I was constantly frustrated with existing options. Websites are full of ads, mobile apps are cramped, and most desktop solutions felt bloated or outdated. I wanted something simple that just worked well for viewing and following lyrics.

Technical stuff

Built with Python and Flet. Download includes a setup installer that will install Better Lyrics on your system with Start Menu integration.

Works on Windows 10/11. The first launch might take a moment to initialize.

This is completely free to use. I built it for myself and figured others might find it useful too. If you end up using it regularly and want to support future development, donations help but aren't expected.

Future updates might include things like PDF export, cloud sync, or karaoke-style highlighting - depends on what people actually want and how much time I can dedicate to it.
